The Alabaster Jar is a 501(c)(3) international nonprofit organization with a mission rooted in worshiping Jesus at His feet. From this place of reverence and intimacy, we carry His fragrance to a hurting world, working to end human trafficking and bring freedom to women, children, and men in Jesus' name.
Our name draws from the biblical account of a woman who broke open her alabaster jar of precious perfume to anoint Jesus—an act of extravagant worship and devotion. Like her, we pour out our lives in service, releasing the sweet fragrance of Christ's love into the darkest corners of our world.
We currently operate in the United States, Thailand, India, Colombia, and Mexico, with primary focus areas in the U.S. and Thailand for our cyber intelligence operations. Our comprehensive approach addresses the full spectrum of anti-trafficking work: from prevention through cyber intelligence to rescue, recovery, rehabilitation, and restoration.
Vision Statement
A World Healed
To see a world healed by the saving love of Christ, where human trafficking no longer exists, and every life rescued is restored in dignity, identity, and purpose, empowered to thrive through His power as whole, contributing members of their communities.
Mission Statement
Bringing Freedom
The Alabaster Jar exists to bring freedom—physical, mental, and spiritual—to victims of human trafficking, especially women and children, by breaking the cycle of exploitation through the healing love and sweet fragrance of Christ. We empower survivors to reclaim their identity, restore their dignity, and walk in wholeness and purpose.
Core Beliefs & Values
The Alabaster Jar operates on six foundational pillars that guide every aspect of our work.
Abide
Abiding in Christ through worship is the foundation of everything we do. Each team member is called to dwell in intimacy with Jesus, allowing the Holy Spirit to work through us. It is Christ's saving and healing power that transforms brokenness—ours and that of those who have endured the trauma of human trafficking—into wholeness. From this posture, we carry the fragrance of His love into the darkest places.
Practical Application
All staff and volunteers participate in regular spiritual formation, including weekly prayer gatherings, quarterly spiritual retreats, and daily devotional practices that ground our work in worship.
“Abide in me, and I in you.”
Collaborate
We believe that true transformation happens in community. Regardless of background or status, every individual has a role to play in this mission. Through the power of prayer and strategic partnerships, we unite as one body, knowing that together, our collective impact far exceeds what we could achieve alone.
Practical Application
We actively build partnerships with law enforcement agencies, government bodies, NGOs, faith communities, businesses, and academic institutions to create a unified front against human trafficking.
“Two are better than one...”
Rescue
We are committed to rescuing victims of human trafficking through collaboration with law enforcement, border patrol, cyber intelligence teams, and on-the-ground personnel. We believe in a proactive and united front to break chains and bring victims to safety.
Practical Application
We support mental health programs that help men break free from pornography addiction, involvement in prostitution, and participation in the sex trade, reducing the number of perpetrators and preventing further abuse.
“Rescue the weak and needy...”
Recover
Our mission includes recovering kidnapped and exploited individuals and placing them in safe environments—whether in shelters, safe houses, or loving families. We work with partners to ensure every rescued individual begins their journey of healing with protection, care, and stability.
Practical Application
We maintain a network of vetted safe houses and partner shelters across our operational regions, with 24/7 emergency response capabilities and immediate care protocols.
“He heals the brokenhearted...”
Restore
We walk with each survivor on a journey of restoration, offering compassionate care that meets their basic physical needs—food, shelter, and clothing—as well as access to mental and emotional healing.
Practical Application
We provide pathways back into society through education, employment, and skill development. Our goal is to help each person regain confidence, become self-reliant, and even pursue entrepreneurship, restoring not only their dignity but their purpose.
“I will restore to you the years...”
Empower
We believe that every life redeemed and restored becomes an empowering aroma in the world—a testimony of God's victory and grace. We hope that the women, children, and men we serve not only live in freedom but also go on to inspire, mentor, and walk alongside others still in bondage.
In this way, their healing becomes a ripple of hope that transforms families and communities.
Practical Application
Through our programs, we enable survivors to gain meaningful employment and financial independence via targeted skills development, equipping them to become self-sufficient, contributing members of society. In doing so, each life restored steps fully into their God-given identity — becoming a living testimony of grace and a beacon of hope for those still in bondage.
“The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.”
- Psalm 16:6
“I don't want pity. I want change. I want every girl who is still out there to know that freedom is possible.”
